EMPLOYEE BENEFITS KNOWLEDGE NETWORK
brought to you by Ryan MurphyEMPLOYEE BENEFITS KNOWLEDGE NETWORK
Employee benefits plans have become increasingly complex and sophisticated — making the traditional product placement a minor part of my role working with clients. In today’s benefits landscape, knowledge is the most powerful tool to help clients make strategic, data driven decisions that will enhance employee satisfaction and provide the highest value for the organization.

RYAN MURPHY
Principal, AHT Insurance
My team and I partner with progressive employers to craft relevant, sustainable benefit programs. Taking a holistic approach to benefits means looking at more than just cost; it considers the entire invested effort that goes into creating and managing the employee benefit platform. I have been practicing this approach for over 15 years, during which time I have been recognized as a Top Broker in Employee Benefits by publications such as Seattle Business Magazine and Insurance Journal. Prior to joining AHT as a Principal and Shareholder, I ran the Technology Industry Practice Group at a Top 5 National brokerage firm. I regularly participate in industry panels and serve as a mentor for other consultants within AHT. I have assisted in building many of the benefit programs for the most recognizable “Best Employers” and “Fastest Growing Employers”, both locally and nationally. When all the above fails to impress, I resort to my stockpile of insurance-related jokes.
Outside of work, I spend my time with my wife, Sarah, and our young son, Emmett. We spend a lot of time stacking blocks, reading books and going on walks to the park. I am an avid cyclist, dog lover, IPA drinker and coffee aficionado — basically, the definition of a Northwesterner. I even have a beard, glasses and frequent farmers’ markets.
