Virginia Student Nehul Kapoor Receives 2017 AHT Scholarship
Leesburg, VA – October 3, 2017 – AHT Insurance, a full-service Insurance Brokerage and Consulting Firm in Leesburg, VA, awarded their 29th annual scholarship in the amount of $5,500 to Nehul Kapoor of Heritage High School (HHS). Jenni Bickerstaff, Principal and Senior Vice President of AHT, presented the scholarship at Heritage High School on June 5, 2017. David Schaefer, AHT President and CEO, also made a personal presentation to her stating, “We are honored to have awarded Nehul with our annual scholarship – recognizing her hard work ethic and accomplishments within her community and supporting her continued educational success.”
In addition to Nehul’s academic accomplishments, she has also dedicated her time to various organizations including the National Honor Society and the National English Honor Society for the last two years, while also holding an ambassador position for the National Society of High School Scholars. Nehul founded, and was an active member for three years, of the Care Club at Heritage High School through the Care foundation –fundraising to benefit girls’ education and health around the world.
Nehul also played a key role around her community volunteering her time with various organizations. Through the Kashmir World Foundation, Nehul worked as an intern where she was exposed to the world of art, science and technology. She also volunteered for the Community Residences Foundation to repair houses for individuals with intellectual disabilities and spent her summers as a camp counselor for GSNC Camp Friendship.
Currently, Nehul is attending George Mason University in Fairfax, VA where she plans to continue her studies in Business and Arts. We congratulate Nehul for her accomplishments and wish her continued success in her studies and career.
