AHT Principals Named 2017 Top Producers by Insurance Business

Leesburg, VA – May 5, 2017: AHT Insurance is pleased to announce that seven of its Principals have been named a 2017 Top Producer by Insurance Business. The list includes 100 of the industry’s top-performing insurance professionals from various industries. To qualify as a Top Producer in 2017, applicants needed to have a personal book of business worth $750,000 or more (net commissions).

David Schaefer, President and CEO is the leader of AHT’s technology and government contractor insurance practice groups. AHT has achieved national recognition for its technology and management liability insurance programs under his leadership. He led the development of AHT’s proprietary D&O loss prevention program, Ensuring Integrity, and the design of MyRiskTracker, an insurance certificate management and compliance system for real estate and multi-national risks. David is also a founding member and past chair of TechAssure, the first nonprofit organization for risk management professionals in technology products and services.

George Forrester, Principal and Senior Vice President, leads the manufacturing practice at AHT and serves the legal, technology, property and hospitality management industries. He is a leading expert on product liability risk management and was the primary architect of a product liability risk assessment methodology template that is commonly used among manufacturers.

Jamie Madonna, Principal and Senior Vice President, has extensive expertise in creating innovative insurance solutions primarily for the aviation, manufacturing and technology industries. He remains fluent in client industry changes and advancements through his membership in professional organizations, including the Northwest Food Processors Association (NWFPA), the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA) and the Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA).

Mark Ganley, Principal and Senior Vice President, is a leader in developing AHT’s expertise and practice growth in life sciences and technology. He assists clients in all industries with their management liability exposures. Mark uses a cognitive approach with each client, understanding their needs and concerns which fosters strong partnerships.

Mike Tomasulo, Principal and Senior Vice President, is a leader of the management liability practice group at AHT Insurance. He has nearly 20 years of experience working with hundreds of publicly traded companies, ranging from Fortune 100s to OTC companies, in placing their director’s and officers’ liability insurance. He is a regular speaker at conferences such as the ROTH Capital Conference and Marcum Microcap Conference on topics such as IPO Readiness, Reg A, Up-listing and Governance. Mike also authors an annual State of the D&O Market Report that is well received by the entire D&O Marketplace.

Ned Sander, Principal and Senior Vice President, leads the global services practice at AHT and is responsible for strategic relationships with leaders in key foreign insurance markets in London, Bermuda, Hong Kong and Singapore. Ned develops and oversees alliances with an international network of brokers to meet our clients’ global insurance needs. He led the formation of the Seattle office which has grown to be the leading insurance services firm in the Pacific Northwest for the technology and life science industry, serving more than 500 clients in this sector.

Peter Dean, Principal, is the national practice leader for AHT’s real estate division. He is directly responsible for the cultivation and expansion of the practice and has personally been involved with over $10 billion in real estate transactions while at AHT. Peter is intimate with the challenges the real estate industry faces and works with his team to make sure the risk strategy employed can function effectively within it.
