with Patrick Tschetter

RUNNING FOR FINANCIAL HEALTH

Beginning December 21st and for the next 30 days (ending January 19th), Patrick Tschetter, AHT’s Senior Retirement Plan Advisor in the Seattle office will be “Running a 401k” to highlight a variety of topics in the retirement plan world – including the SECURE (Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement) Act of 2019, the SECURE (Securing a Strong Retirement) Act of 2022, Pooled Employer Plans (PEP), Financial Wellness Month (January), and more.

He will also be running to highlighting AHT’s resources to help you celebrate and inspire your employees to kick off the new year with a renewed focus on their financial health.

AHT’S 401k & RETIREMENT EXPERTISE

AHT’s Retirement Services team takes great pride in being an integral part of the success of your companies’ retirement plan — working with corporations, government entities, nonprofit organizations and individuals to provide investment and retirement plan consulting.

We partner with plan fiduciaries to seek protection from the personal and corporate liability related to the retirement plan, while aiming to enhance potential investment opportunities and ultimately helping participants work toward financial independence and a successful retirement. In helping plan sponsors deliver high-quality retirement programs, we help contain costs, address regulatory requirements and promote an independent, prudent process.

TRACK PATRICK’S PROGRESS WITH US!

THIS WEEKS THEME:

As I’ve run over this last month, I’ve had a lot to time to think how running (especially running for longer distances) is like retirement/financial planning. If the typical line goes “remember…it’s a marathon, not a sprint”, I think the line for retirement/financial planning should be “remember…it’s an ultra-marathon, not a marathon”. And with an ultra-marathon (or any longer distance events), as it is with retirement/financial planning, one of the key components is a strong team to support you.

As of last Friday morning, I reached 300km (186.50 miles) of running over the last 30 days to highlight a variety of topics in the retirement plan world…and that was the end of my journey for this endeavor. Later that day I had a previously scheduled surgery (not run related) and will be “passing the baton” to a group of my valued partners who will each run, bike, Peleton, walk… whatever they choose…over the next two weeks to complete the remaining 101km (approximately 63 miles) of this journey.

I am blessed to have a strong team of partners to support me and will be cheering them on over the next two weeks…and I remind you, as you plan for retirement or any financial goals, to lean on your resources, partners, advisors to assist in that journey…
