Key Planning Considerations for Developing a New Campus Facility

Business Officers of independent schools are often tasked with spearheading and coordinating the development of a new school facility including renovations and new construction. Effective planning calls for the timely coordination of a wide range of activities including the following:

  • Project scope, design and cost analysis
  • Land use and entitlement review
  • Construction contracting and permitting
  • Fundraising
  • Debt Financing
  • Managing your board through the process and making sure you have the right team in place

What is the Business Managers’ Roundtable?

The Business Managers’ Roundtable convenes twice a year. We brief independent school business managers on developments in financial management, risk management, and key legal issues. Attending this program will replace hours of sorting through trade journals, circulars, magazines and dailies. Our relaxed, comfortable atmosphere is designed for a collegial and frank exchange of ideas and for social exchange with your peers.
