AHT Insurance Expands Global Risks Practice with Membership in the Worldwide Broker Network

Leesburg, VA – January 12, 2016  – AHT Insurance is pleased to announced its recent membership in the Worldwide Broker Network. AHT is one of 8 new members selected to join the prestigious network in 2015. This marks another step in the expansion of AHT’s Global Risk Practice which includes Director of Risk Management, Joe Gleason and Director of International Programs, David Turkaleski.

WBN was formed in 1989 by 9 firms in Western Europe. It has since grown to more than 100 member firms in more than 100 countries and territories on 6 continents. WBN members are the leading independently owned firms in their respective markets, providing the highest degree of client service to both insurance and employee benefits clients. WBN has become an important part of the industry’s distribution network, generating an estimated $35 billion in Property & Casualty and Employee Benefits premiums annually.

Joe Gleason is AHT’s Director of Risk Management. Joe works directly with AHT clients to develop, refine, and maximize the efficiency of their global risk management strategies. From initial risk strategy planning to continual risk management process and service examination, Joe’s expertise is a unique asset to AHT and its clients. Joe’s involvement in global professional risk and security organizations is extensive, including his membership in the Overseas Security Advisory Council International Development Working Group and the International NGO Safety and Security Association. Joe joined AHT in 2015 with 15 years of experience in operations and global security roles at a large NGO. Joe obtained his B.A. from George Mason University and his M.A. from Old Dominion University.

David Turkaleski is the Director of International Programs at AHT. He manages the global business exposures of multinational organizations by delivering innovative property and casualty insurance and employee benefit solutions. He is particularly well versed in the nuances of Global Master Controlled programs, Political Violence, Risk and Terrorism coverage, as well as Political Evacuation and Repatriation. David joined AHT in 2014 with 14 years of experience in international insurance program development. David earned his B.A. from The Ohio State University.
